Meet our Providers!
Melody Brewer:
Melody has lived in Breathitt County since birth, where she still resides with her 3 children. It has always been a dream of Melody’s to provide health care to her community and the citizens of Breathitt County. Nursing has always been Melody’s passion, and it started out at a very early age as she worked in a skilled long term care facility as a Nursing Assistant. She Graduated from Morehead State University with her BSN. She spent her time in the hospital setting in her early career, learning how to assess, and treat acute care, as well as learning how to assess, plan, manage and treat Chronic care. She loves her hometown, and wanted to help her community more, so she transitioned to Home Health, where she went out into people’s home, assisting them with their nursing needs, teaching them how to adjust and accommodate to their health requirements, providing education and support to their family, all in the comfort of the patient’s home. She always had a special place in her heart for Geriatrics, so on the weekends and evenings she worked at a skilled long term care facility, which has given her several years of experience with geriatric treatment, and the aging process. She wanted to do more and provide for her hometown, so she furthered her education at the one of the most prestige schools for nurses, Frontier Nursing, where she graduated with honors becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Melody is well rounded in her career and has set herself a strong foundation to be able to provide for her community’s health care.
